About Plain Bonus Guide
A small editorial site that reads casino small print so you don't have to squint at it.
What we do
We compare welcome offers from online casinos licensed by the UK Gambling Commission, and we explain their terms in everyday language. Each offer on the site shows the operator's significant terms word for word, next to our plain-English version, so you can always check that our explanation matches the original.
That's more or less it. We don't run a casino, take bets, hold anyone's money, or sell accounts. We're a guide.
Why a plain-English site?
Because bonus terms are written for lawyers and compliance teams, and it shows. "WR of 10x Bonus amount and Free Spin winnings amount (only Slots count) within 30 days" is accurate, but it doesn't tell most people what they're signing up for. We think adults should be able to understand an offer in a couple of minutes, including the parts that make it less attractive.
What you won't find here
- Casinos without a UK Gambling Commission licence. We check each operator on the Commission's public register.
- Anything aimed at getting round GAMSTOP or other self-exclusion.
- Made-up user reviews, star ratings "from players", or winner stories.
- Pop-ups, countdown timers or "only today" offers.
- Claims that gambling can make you money. It can't be relied on to, and we won't pretend otherwise.
Who writes it
Everything on the site is written and checked by our editorial team. We don't publish individual bylines. Offer details are taken from each operator's UK landing page, reached from a UK connection, and the date they were last checked is shown on every review and in the footer.
How the site is paid for
The casinos pay us a commission when people sign up through our links. That's why offer lists carry an "Ad" label. It doesn't change the offer you get, and it doesn't buy a better score. There's more detail on our advertising disclosure page and on how we score.
Mistakes and corrections
Operators change offers, sometimes without notice. If you spot something on the site that doesn't match what you see at the casino, please tell us at [email protected]. We'll check and fix it, and the casino's own terms always take priority over anything we've written.
This site is for people aged 18 and over in the UK. If gambling is causing you worry, our safer gambling page lists free, confidential help.
